FDD Review Software for the Franchise Industry

Faster, sharper FDD review.

Most compliance tools ask you to change your workflow. Dale is designed around the workflow you already have: reading the document, identifying disclosure gaps, citing the rule, and producing deliverables for clients and regulators.

Document Viewer

Findings pinned to the exact passage that triggered them

Traditional compliance reports hand you a list of issues and leave you to hunt for where, across a 300-page PDF, the problem lives. Dale eliminates that step. Every finding is anchored to the precise paragraph, table, or footnote in the original FDD. You can click through to it instantly.

The side-by-side layout shows Dale's analysis on the left and the original FDD language on the right. When a disclosure is incomplete or a required table is missing a column, you see both the finding and its source at once. Like reviewing with a physical document and a notepad, minus the page-flipping.

Works with both digital and scanned PDFs

Why it matters

Examiners cite specific language. Your review tool should too.

When a state examiner issues a deficiency letter, they point to the specific provision that falls short. A compliance tool that can't do the same forces you to recreate the mapping manually. Dale's document-level anchoring means you can verify any finding against its source in seconds.

What the output looks like

A structured letter, not a wall of text.

Each comment in the letter includes:

The specific FDD item and page reference
The applicable FTC, NASAA, or state rule
A plain-language explanation of the deficiency
Suggested disclosure language where applicable

Auto-Generated Comment Letter

From findings to regulatory correspondence in one click

State franchise examiners expect comment letters in a specific format: organized by item number, citing the relevant rule, with clear identification of the deficiency. Drafting these letters is often the most time-consuming part of the post-review workflow, especially when a review surfaces 40+ findings across 15 items.

Dale generates this letter automatically as part of every review. The output mirrors the structure that state regulators, NASAA examiners, and franchise registration counsel expect to receive. You review it, refine the language where your judgment adds value, and submit. Hours of letter drafting become minutes of quality review.

Platform

Beyond the review: a workspace
for your entire franchise practice.

FDD review is one step in a larger compliance workflow. Dale gives your firm the infrastructure to manage the rest.

Compliance Reports

Deliverables your clients can act on

Export a PDF report organized by severity. Critical findings first, compliant items at the bottom. Each finding includes the rule citation, page reference, and a plain-language explanation your client's in-house team can read without calling you to decode it.

Review Dashboard

See where every client stands

If your firm manages FDD compliance for multiple franchise systems, you should not have to dig through emails to check status. Dale's dashboard shows review history and turnaround metrics for every document your team has processed.

Multi-Seat Collaboration

Your team reviews. Leadership signs off.

That's how most franchise organizations operate, and that's how Dale is built. Role-based access, shared workspaces, and granular permissions. Invite colleagues and control who can view or export reviews.

Security & Confidentiality

Your clients' FDDs contain sensitive financial data.
We treat them accordingly.

Document handling

FDDs routinely contain audited financial statements, fee schedules, and franchisee earnings data. Dale processes documents in isolated environments, and uploaded files are encrypted at rest and in transit. Your clients' financial disclosures are never used to train models or shared across accounts.

Access control

Every review is scoped to your firm's workspace. Role-based permissions let you control who can view, export, or manage reviews. Two-factor authentication is required for added security.

Data retention

You control how long your data stays on the platform. Reviews and documents can be deleted at any time. Deletion is permanent, not soft-deleted or archived. When you remove a review, the underlying document and all associated findings are purged from our systems.

Infrastructure

Dale runs on AWS cloud infrastructure with US-based data centers. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We maintain strict internal access controls for document handling.
